We invite you to review our criteria below to ensure your practice aligns with our target group before applying.
Who can become a member of Containerakademiet
Containerakademiet welcomes professional artists and curators with a valid CVR number. We focus on curators and visual or multimedia artists, including those with expanded practices that incorporate text, sound and/or performance.
Containerakademiet does not provide studio space for musicians, dancers or theater performers.
Studios are available for applicants who demonstrate a professional practice equivalent to 10 points, as assessed through their submitted CV.
While an application must reach this 10-point total to be successful, a rejection is by no means final. You are more than welcome to reapply during future open calls when you meet the necessary criteria.
In addition to the point system, we prioritize applicants who demonstrate a desire to engage with our community. While we fully respect solitary working practices, we highly value a socially engaged atmosphere and initiatives that activate the collective space. If you are admitted to Containerakademiet, you will have to join a workgroup that works on improving the community.
